Alexandra Horowitz is a professor of psychology, English, and animal behavior at Barnard College, where she heads the Dog Cognition Lab. Her books include THE YEAR OF THE PUPPY, OUR DOGS, OURSELVES, and ON LOOKING: A WALKER'S GUIDE TO THE ART OF OBSERVATION.
